Taizhou Vocational College of Science and Technology (TZVTC), abbreviated as Taikeyuan, is a public full-time ordinary higher vocational college approved by the Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government and filed with the Ministry of Education, located in Huangyan District, Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province. Its predecessor was the Zhejiang Provincial Class-A Agricultural School founded in 1921; it was upgraded to a higher vocational college in 2007 and is now a builder of Zhejiang Provincial High-Level Higher Vocational Program Cluster. It has been awarded titles including China Mold Senior Talent Training Base, Chair Unit of the Yangtze River Delta Mold Industry-Education Alliance, Provincial Industry-Education Integration Productive Training Base, and Taizhou Mold Design and Manufacturing Application-Oriented Talent Training Base. Guided by a school-running orientation of serving local industries and closely aligned with Taizhou’s “Mold Capital” and Huangyan’s “Mold Hometown” industrial characteristics, TZVTC’s Mold Design and Manufacturing Program Cluster was successfully selected in 2020 as a builder of Zhejiang Provincial Higher Vocational High-Level Program Cluster, having trained thousands of high-skilled talents for the mold industry. Zhejiang SINOMOULD Co., Ltd. and TZVTC established a “Practice Base” cooperative relationship under the modern apprenticeship framework and were awarded the “Taizhou Vocational College of Science and Technology Modern Apprenticeship Practice Base.” This is high recognition from the higher education system of SINOMOULD’s enterprise talent training system, practical training conditions, and school-enterprise collaborative education capability.

Innovative Modern Apprenticeship Training Model with In-Depth School-Enterprise Cooperation in Talent Development

The Modern Apprenticeship is an educational mechanism innovation proposed by the Ministry of Education in 2014 aimed at deepening industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation. Through in-depth cooperation between schools and enterprises and joint instruction by teachers and masters, it realizes a modern talent training model centered on skills development. Focusing on the talent needs of the mold industry, TZVTC innovatively proposed a modern apprenticeship-based “Mold Core Position 2+0.5+0.5” talent training model — 2 years of on-campus theoretical study, 0.5 years of enterprise core position internship, and 0.5 years of post-placement internship, effectively enhancing students’ hands-on ability and position adaptability.

In March 2021, Qiu Shiming, Party Secretary of TZVTC, led a team to visit SINOMOULD, where both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on cooperation. SINO Chairman Li Jun expressed the hope that school-enterprise cooperation could provide professional talent for mold enterprises. In May 2025, the School of Mechanical, Electrical and Mold Engineering of TZVTC invited the Human Resources Director and Product Director of SINO Holding Group to campus to conduct a special recruitment and matching event for mold program students on “Mold Core Position Comprehensive Practice.” The practice base focuses on cultivating students’ mastery of core position skills such as mold digital design and mold flow analysis. In mold design, relying on this platform, SINOMOULD can deeply participate in formulating training plans, transforming enterprise real projects into teaching cases, and ensuring that students acquire mold design capabilities aligned with cutting-edge industry needs during their school years.

Position-Targeted Precision Training, Delivering High-Quality Talent for the Mold Industry

The modern apprenticeship training model emphasizes students entering enterprise core positions for precision training. In mold manufacturing, SINOMOULD, as a practice base, provides students with internship opportunities in core positions such as mold digital programming and machining, and mold assembly and commissioning. In the May 2025 special recruitment and matching event, approximately 110 mold program students from the School of Mechanical, Electrical and Mold Engineering of TZVTC attended the SINO Holding Group presentation. The enterprise offered over 30 positions including mold design, mold project management, CNC programming, CMM inspection, and mold foreign trade, fully demonstrating SINOMOULD’s high regard for talent cultivation and depth of cooperation.

In injection molding, the SINO Group takes “injection molding system solutions” as its core positioning, and molds are closely related to injection molding. Talent training at the practice base covers positions directly related to injection molding quality, such as mold product trial and defect rate improvement and mold project management, providing strong support for the enterprise’s talent reserve in the injection molding field. In quality control systems, the practice base offers training subjects such as mold CMM inspection, integrating quality management concepts and precision inspection technologies into the talent cultivation process, providing the enterprise and its customers with professional talents possessing systematic quality management awareness.

The Modern Apprenticeship Practice Base represents a substantive cooperative achievement of in-depth industry-education integration between schools and enterprises. Through this platform, SINOMOULD can preferentially recruit high-quality graduates who have undergone systematic mold core position training, ensuring the sustainability of talent pipeline construction and providing customers with a more stable and professional technical service team.
