The China Die & Mould Industry Association (CDMIA), established in October 1984, is a national mold industry social organization registered and approved by the Ministry of Civil Affairs with legal person status, and is also the only national industry organization in China’s mold industry. The association currently has over 1,300 direct group members and 16 professional (working) committees covering the entire mold manufacturing and upstream-downstream industrial chain. It is one of the founding members of the Federation of Asian Die & Mould Associations (FADMA) and a vice-chairman unit of the International Special Tooling & Machining Association (ISTMA). The “China Key Backbone Mold Enterprise” evaluation is an authoritative industry evaluation work initiated by CDMIA in 2006, aimed at setting enterprise benchmarks and promoting mold enterprise transformation, upgrading, strengthening, and excellence, known as the “Industry Gold Standard” in the mold industry. On June 3, 2025, at the 9th-10th CDMIA Council Meeting and China Key Backbone Mold Enterprise Work Conference, SINOMOULD once again received the title of “Precision Injection Mold China Key Backbone Mold Enterprise” after the association’s rigorous re-evaluation procedure. This is the highest-level authoritative recognition from the China Die & Mould Industry Association of SINOMOULD’s business scale, technical strength, equipment level, and industry status.

CDMIA Rigorous Evaluation Across Six Major Dimensions: SINOMOULD’s Comprehensive Strength Fully Met the Criteria

In 2019, CDMIA issued the T/CDMIA A001-2019 “Key Backbone Mold Enterprise Conditions and Evaluation Methods” group standard, conducting systematic evaluation of applicant enterprises across six major dimensions: business scale, manufacturing equipment capability, technology development capability, mold product technical content, enterprise management level, and digital and information technology application. Core evaluation requirements include: mold sales revenue of no less than RMB 60 million (no less than RMB 100 million for large plastic molds); CNC equipment accounting for over 80% of total processing equipment original value, possessing high-speed milling machines, five-axis CNC machines, and CMMs; technical personnel accounting for over 20% of total employees, with provincial-level or above technology research centers established; ownership of independent intellectual property rights such as invention patents and utility model patents; passing ISO9000 Quality System certification and ISO14000 Environmental certification; and comprehensive application of CAD/CAM/CAE and other digital software in product design, manufacturing, and other processes. Evaluation is conducted every two years, and awarded enterprises undergo comprehensive re-evaluation every four years, with dynamic management. In 2025, CDMIA organized evaluation and re-evaluation of 151 original Key Backbone Mold Enterprises and 19 new applicant enterprises, with recognition granted after expert review and official website public announcement.
