Due to the inevitable impact and friction during the process of open and clamp mould ,so we choose the good mould steel from 5 aspects.

Firstly,good mould steel should have wear resistance performance,which can undertake the weight and reduce the unprecise size caused by friction,so that the mould will have a long life.Normally.the hardness of mould steel is related to the wear resistance performance.the much harder the steel mould is, the wear resistance capacity is much better.In order to improve the mould steel's performance,we should adopt a suitable production technology and treating technology that also can strength the hardness of mould steel.

Second ,we need to choose tough mould steel,the toughness of the mould steel is of prime importance to the mould will impact strongly.But the toughness performance is opposite the the hardness and wear resistance performance ,so we should do is to do heat treatment ,surface treatment to let them both have the performance.

Third,mould steel should have good fracture resistance ,underring the long-term stress ,which will cause the breakage of mould steel ,there have many types:bend fracture ,stretch fracture and so on

Forth,high temperature performance is also vital to mould steel,when the mould with high temperature ,it will lead to weak hardness ,so the good mould steel should have the good stability of tempering.to make sure the mould steel also have other performance in high temperature situation.

Fifth,good mould steel can bear the corrosion,some plastic will produce the corrosion gas like HCI,HF,which will damage the surface of cavity.
