Key Point of Electric Iron Mould Forming
Electric iron moulds are mainly made of plastic shells and metal base plates. The core design and processing focus on heat resistance, deformation prevention, high appearance, easy demoulding, and long service life.
- High Temperature Resistance Requirements
- Mould cavities/cores are generally made of H13 or S136 material; quenched to a hardness of HRC48–52 to ensure heat resistance, fatigue resistance, and crack resistance;
- The mould must have an excellent water channel design: water channels are close to the cavity, evenly distributed, and without cooling dead corners to ensure stable product moulding, preventing deformation and brittleness.
- Flatness and Parting Line Requirements
- All exposed parting lines on the product must be finely finished: free of burrs, sharp edges, misaligned protrusions, and obvious clamping lines;
- All hand-contact edges and outer shell edges must be chamfered/rounded, with sharp corners strictly prohibited to prevent hand scratches;
- Smooth transitions between corners and wall thickness to eliminate stress concentration and prevent stress cracking under high temperature/impact conditions.
- Zero Defects in Appearance + Mirror Polishing Requirements
- Zero defects in product appearance: No gate marks, no shrinkage marks, no weld lines;
- Appearance requirements: Mirror polishing, consistent gloss, no uneven light and shadow, no polishing lines;
- The appearance surface corresponding to the mould cavity must be polished in the demoulding direction to ensure a high-gloss, clean, and high-end texture on the product surface.
- Assembly-friendly: Precise alignment of clips and screw posts
- Moderate clamping force, reliable locking, uniform gaps after assembly, and a solid feel, meeting the requirements for high-efficiency mass production assembly.
The quality of electric iron moulds directly determines the safety, lifespan, and user experience of home appliances. SINO moulds consistently focus on high-temperature material applications, high-precision moulding control, mirror-finish finishes, and structural alignment optimization, adhering to stringent standards throughout the entire design, processing, and mass production process.
