Procedures of mould trial

Before every mould ready for production, mould trial is of predominant significance. Mouldtrial can be beneficial to eliminate all problems which is likely to appear when it being on production. how to implement mould trial?

Main procedures of mould trial:
  • Check the plastic in the material barrel, it should be accordant with provision.( If the material used not accord with the mould trial, it will appear different results.)

  • The material pipe should be cleaned thoroughly in order to prevent sundries from entering into the mould. Because the sundries may block the mould. The temperature of the material barrel and mould also should be tested until it has be fit for the raw material.

  • The injection pressure and injection weight should be adjusted in order to produce a satisfactory products. But the flash can not run before the material in other cavities have not freezed completely. Before adjusting every controlled conditions, we should think about carefully. Because the filling mold may change greatly as the the variation of the filling mold rate.

  • We should be patient to wait the conditions of the injection machine and the mouldhave been steadied. In general, middle injection machine need 30 minutes. We can check the problems of the products during this period.

  • The forward time of the screw should not be short than freezing time of the material. Otherwise, the weight of the final products may decrease and afect the performance of the products. Moreover, the forward time of the screw also should be prolonged when the mould heated so as to compact the products.

  • Total processing time should be adjusted to the least.

  • The new conditions which are adjusted again may take 30 minutes to get stable. And then it will be need to produce many samples untill tolerance control has been concluded.

  • The weight and dimensions of the continuous samples should be measured and noted. (It should be after the temperatures of the samples have been cooled down to the room temperature.

  • The dimensions of samples should be compared.

   1.Whether the dimensions are steady or not.

   2.Whether the dimension of some samples increase or decrease and it always indicates that the processing conditions of the machine are still on variation, such   as Bad temperature control or oil pressure control.

   3.Whether the variation of the dimension is within the tolerance range.
  • If the dimension of the finial products are not on variation and other processing conditions are also normal, we should observe whether the quality of final products in every cavity can be accepted.
