After the breakage of ejector pin and molding pin, ejector plate can be reset on the effect of spring. But the broken pins may leave in the cavity. If the ejector pin and the molding pin have not been removed from the cavity, they will damage the cavity when clamping mould. If the situation is not very serious, we can electroplate, knock or weld up by using inserts to repair the mould, otherwise, the cavity will be scraped. If the broken pins did not damage the cavity, we should change the ejector pin or the molding pin.
If falling of foreign matters lead to the slight damage of the cavity, we can adopt hammering method (We can open a small impassable hole on the rear of the broken parts of the cavity. Then put a metal bar into the hole and knock it by using hammer. After a series of operation, the broken surface will be hunched and then polish it.) If the cavity is seriously damaged, we should repair it by the method of inlaying, overlaying, and electroplating. Because the cavity cannot recover as natural. How to prevent the mold or maintain plastic molds?
1.Tools, sundry and parts and any other things should not be laid on the mould.
2.After the cavity has been repaired, we should be prohibitive to clamp mouldwithout any clear.
3.The mould which has been passed long distance transportation or laid for long time should be cleaned before going into operation.
4.The heels which remain in the cavity should be cleaned.
