(1) Prehardened steel:
DIN1.2311, DIN1.2738 (German brand), NAK80 (Japan brand).
These plastic injection mould steels are prehardened steel which the hardness can reach HRC32-40. DIN1.2738 and NAK80 are good for polish as mirror, high resistance to deformation and to pressure. We use them mostly for plastic table injection moulds, big box moulds, plastic injection moulds for car parts, etc.
(2) Annealed steel:
DIN1.2344 (German brand ), DIN1.2316 (German brand ), H13 (Amercian brand), S136 (Swiss brand ), S420 (Swiss brand ).
These steels are annealed when made in the factory, we should do heat hardening after rough tooling to make sure a high hardness and mechanical properties of these stainless steel for plastic injection moulds.
They are used generally for PVC pipe fitting moulds and corrosive plastic materials, also for car lights moulds, transparent packing moulds and transparent products.
